Building the Practice Pen at our place 7-12-2009

First of all, the date on my mom's camera is wrong we started building this practice pen on July 12, 2009 NOT April 2007. Ok now that that is all cleared up this first picture is the area that we are clearing out to put the pen. Jimmy is trimming up the tree and we are clearing out wood and wire and things that were in a pile by that tree.

Here is part of the crew...the main man Papa Eddie, the person who helped out the most Wyatt and another good worker Jimmy. It was hot that day but they stuck with it.

Wyatt and Shadea holding up the sheep wire on the top half until Papa got it stretched and we were able to connect it all. Great workers all of these kids are.

Wyatt used his quad and a roll of sheep wire to clear out the weeds and to try and smooth out some of the rough spots. He had the most fun doing this job.

Here is the Practice Pen building crew Papa Eddie, Caden, Kailani, Wyatt, Shadea and Jimmy

They were all ready to pitch in and help when it was time to fill the hole with dirt. They threw dirt around and at each other more than they filled the hole.

Now building the chute...the boys are getting so excited for all of this to be done

so they can give it a try.

Chino came out to help...Papa Eddie was glad to see Chino and some of his power tools so he didn't have to work so hard.

Ok the pen is all done and here are the sheep! Mutton busting here we come!!
